Abstract: A pyrazolopyrimidine-based fluorescent sensor L was developed and applied for detection of Cu 2+ and Ni 2+ in ethanol solution by photoluminescence quenching. It shows low cytotoxicity and good imaging characteristics for Cu 2+ and Ni 2+ in living cells.
