Abstract: Biochemical and cell biological analyses reveal that the Astrin-SKAP complex acts to stabilize kinetochore-microtubule interactions through its intrinsic microtubule binding activity and its association with the Ndc80 complex, the core component of the kinetochore-microtubule interface.
