Year: 2019

Abstract: Driving is an important indicator of social mobility, independence, and freedom. It requires visual, motor, and cognitive control. Progressive loss of motor function in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) ultimately leads to cessation of driving. PURPOSE: We sought to examine the association between ALS variables related to driving capacity and following the individuals until cessation of driving.
