Dual inhibition of CDK4 and FYN leads to selective cell death in KRAS-mutant colorectal cancer
Year: 2019
Type: article
Abstract: Activating mutations in KRAS have been found in nearly 50% of colorectal cancers (CRCs), and patients with KRAS mutations are resistant to the anti-EGFR agent cetuximab 1 . Currently, though there are several strategies targeting the mutated cysteine in KRAS (G12C; http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03600883 ), the frequency of the KRAS G12C mutation is much lower in CRC than in lung adenocarcinoma 2 . Thus, it is urgent to increase efforts to develop a novel strategy for KRAS-mutant CRC.
