Abstract: Although esophagectomy as a single modality remains the cornerstone of treatment for resectable esophageal carcinoma, the incorporation of chemo-radiotherapy (CRT) as neoadjuvant therapy improves overall survival and R0 resection rate compared to surgery alone.
