Abstract: The present work aims at contributing to improve costing and management system in a port authority, through analyzing the alternatives towards creating a costing and management system based on activities. The project was directed towards providing a solution to companies which need to get and adapt their domestic information system to new market requirements and provide better quality in its costing strategic management. The usage of the new system allowed to know the real costing of services that were being provided, a detailed information on the organization was achieved, how to improve its operation in terms of efficiency and efficacy, as well as to identify the deficiencies and empower profitability and quality in their services.
