Abstract: We show that at the level of the equations of motion (i.e. classically), in the limit in which the $$ \mathrm{T}\overline{\mathrm{T}} $$ T T ¯ deformation parameter is sent to infinity, the left- and right-chiral sectors of $$ \mathrm{T}\overline{\mathrm{T}} $$ T T ¯ -deformed free theories decouple.
