Abstract: Tucked away in the mountainous countryside just north of the Incan capital, Cusco, lies Machu Picchu. Wiped out by the Spanish invaders in the 16th century, Machu Picchu became merely a forgotten citadel. For hundreds of years, its existence was only known by a few livings in the region.
