Transcranial direct current stimulation effects on cognitive reappraisal: An unexpected result?
Year: 2020
Type: article
Abstract: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has been used to modulate crucial areas involved in emotion regulation processing. Cognitive reappraisal (CR), the most studied emotion regulation strategy, consists in manipulating the meaning of a stimulus in order to alter its emotional impact. It can be implemented by two basic tactics: detachment, when adopting a detached perspective about a situation, or reinterpretation, when directly changing the meaning of a situation [1].
