Abstract: By using the idea of “differred time “from the 1985 exhibition Les Immatériaux as a common thread this chapter sets out to identify some of the temporalities of the web. The first section briefly outlines three general ways of explaining “temporality", the second section presents a five-leveled approach to the web. And the following two sections each unfolds some of the ways in which we can understand the temporalities of the web in its online form as well as when it is preserved in a web archive.
