Abstract: The Role of Social Media in Developing The Social Consciousness of The Saudi YouthThere is no doubt that the social media has achieved a marvelous progress in the social relations and interactions among youth.Statistics show that there is a great number of Arabians, Saudis in particular, who use the social media sites.From this point, the main case of this research is involved in the question: what is the role of social media in developing the social Consciousness of the Saudi youth ?The research societs was based on some Saudi youth who are divided into males and females.The study sample was on 906 researched individuals.The researcher used the descriptive method as he made a survey through which he found out that " WhatsApp Application " is the most widely used among youth.Home is the best place to use the social media.News and the political events are the most watched and followed cases.Then, the social and health topics come in the second rank.Finally, We have to find useful programs on the sites of social media through specialists and also with the help of the socites institutions which fit the youth's ages in order to develop their social Consciousness and find a clear strategy through the government.so that, we can protect our youth from all dangers and threats that can come from the social media sites and their great effects on them.
