Abstract: ) and generated moderate diagnostic performance for CRC detection (AUC = 0.88, sensitivity = 0.87, specificity = 0.84). Low VDR expression was associated with invasion depth (P = 0.001) and poor survival in CRC (P = 0.031). Univariate Cox analysis demonstrated VDR expression (P = 0.036) was a significant prognostic predictor for survival in patients with CRC. Low VDR expression could be a valuable diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for CRC patients. Targeting VDR may offer a potential therapeutic strategy for blocking CRC.
