Fluorescence-guided endoscopy and surgery: Clinical applications for optical imaging agents
Year: 2020
Type: dissertation
Abstract: Recent advances in the field of endoscopy have led to the development of several novel imaging techniques that aim to improve and expand the diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities of an endoscopist. Roughly, endoscopic imaging enhancement techniques can be divided into two categories: wide-field imaging techniques and cross-sectional imaging techniques. This review aims to provide an overview of the mechanism of action and clinical status of different endoscopic imaging enhancement techniques that may be used to overcome current clinical challenges in mucosal lesion detection.
