Effects of coherence on quantum speed limits and shortcuts to adiabaticity in many-particle systems
Year: 2020
Type: article
Abstract: This paper discusses how the many-body coherence affects the speed of evolution of the related systems of the bosonic Tonks-Girardeau gas and spinless fermions, and the consequences this has for their respective quantum speed limits. Approximate shortcuts to adiabaticity are implemented to explore how quickly the two systems can be driven to desired target states, showing that fluctuations in the coherence of the bosons can result in manifestly distinct dynamics and therefore different quantum speed limits for the two species.
