Abstract: Data and analyses in this component support the preprint "On Common Ground: Evidence for an Association Between Fractions and the Ratios They Represent" We expanded on this expanded on this experiment and are publishing it along side a second experiment. 24 Adults completed a cross-notation magnitude comparison task with fractions in symbolic form (1/2) and instantiated in nonsymbolic line ratios (length of one line relative to a longer standard). We examined the response times, error rates during Fraction-Fraction, Line Ratio-Line Ratio, and mixed comparisons where adults indicated the larger of two values presented simultaneously.
