Abstract: This research sets a political, social, environmental and economic profile of the Republic of Congo, and its connections with the Republic of Ecuador in order to establishing diplomatic cooperative, as well as institutional, political, economic and trading connections. Specifically, it examines the productive, environmental and social structure of this Central African country. On the other hand, it tries to meet their international policy so that, implicitly, determine the existence of synergies, for bilateral relations between the two nations. This thesis, based on constructivism, which more than a theory is meant to be a meta-theoretical perspective, since it is based on the idea of the social institutions not seen as external objects molded by an unknown force, but on the idea that an international society is like any kind of a society: the product of the interactions of its members, and if the competition is an important part, cooperation can be much more. Therefore, it gives better support to the claim of bilateral relations between Ecuador and the Republic of Congo, within the approach of South to South Cooperation, understood as the exchange of developing countries’ resources, technology and knowledge. This study involves the application of bibliographic and documentary research, thus contains information and statistics taken from websites of intergovernmental organizations such as UN, World Bank, WTO, ECLAC, UNDP, IFAD, among others, as well as literature existing on issues related to international relations, regional integration, South-South Cooperation and relevant data about the Republic of Congo.
