Abstract: We read the article by Raney et al 1 with great interest. As reported in the literature, 2,3 burnout is a major problem among medical professionals and is particularly troublesome among oncology physicians. In addition to the physical, emotional, and workload demands of most healthcare providers, oncology professionals frequently treat patients with advancedstage cancer and are regularly faced with patient death.Efforts to improve burnout among oncology professionals are greatly needed to ensure wellbeing and prevent medical errors. 4,5The authors should be commended for implementing and succeeding in a quality improvement effort to improve electronic medical record (EMR) documentation. However, we have concerns about the analytic approach and the omission of critical and relevant details.
