PEN-FAST: A validated penicillin allergy clinical decision rule – Implications for prescribing
Year: 2020
Type: article
Abstract: Background: Penicillin allergy is a significant public health issue impacting patients and the appropriate use of antimicrobials. Penicillin allergy decision support tools are urgently required to identify low risk allergies that do not require skin testing. We aimed to validate a clinical decision rule that enables point-of-care risk assessment of patient-reported penicillin allergies.
