Towards Zero Suicide in Late-Life
Year: 2017
Type: preprint
Abstract: Suicide rates are high in older adults. Besides the usual risk factors, many age related issues contribute to the heightened risk of suicide in late-life. Although these factors are well-known, often they are missed, or not addressed adequately. There is a dearth of focused research on effective preventive and management strategies for suicides in old age. Multidisciplinary efforts at various levels are warranted to progress towards zero suicide in late-life.
