Th1-like Plasmodium-Specific Memory CD4+ T Cells Support Humoral Immunity

Year: 2018
Type: article
Abstract: (Cell Reports 21, 1839–1852; November 14, 2017) In the originally published version of this article, there were labeling errors in the Experimental Procedures and in the y axes of Figures 1D, 1E, 2A–2D, 3B, 3C, 3E, and S3A–S3D. The tetramer reagent used to identify GP61-80-specific CD4 T cells was mislabeled as Kb/GP61-80. The correct label for the tetramer reagents is I-Ab/GP61-80. The text and figures have now been corrected online, and the figures appear below. The authors regret these errors.Figure 1Therapeutic Ligation of OX40 during Acute P. yoelii Infection Increases the Magnitude of the P. yoelii GP61–80-Specific CD4 T Cell Response (original)View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)Figure 2Therapeutic Ligation of OX40 during Primary P. yoelii Infection Induces T-bet Expression and Expands Polyfunctional Ly6C+ Th1-like Memory CD4 T Cell Populations (corrected)View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)Figure 2Therapeutic Ligation of OX40 during Primary P. yoelii Infection Induces T-bet Expression and Expands Polyfunctional Ly6C+ Th1-like Memory CD4 T Cell Populations (original)View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)Figure 3Therapeutic Ligation of OX40 during Acute Plasmodium Infection Expands GP61–80-Specific CXCR5+ Memory CD4 T Cells that Express Bcl-6 during Recall (corrected)View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)Figure 3Therapeutic Ligation of OX40 during Acute Plasmodium Infection Expands GP61–80-Specific CXCR5+ Memory CD4 T Cells that Express Bcl-6 during Recall (original)View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)Figure S3Bcl-6 and PD-1 Expression Kinetics and Relationship to Ly6C Expression in Effector and Memory CD4 T Cells Responding to Plasmodium, Related to Figure 3 (corrected)View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT)Figure S3Bcl-6 and PD-1 Expression Kinetics and Relationship to Ly6C Expression in Effector and Memory CD4 T Cells Responding to Plasmodium, Related to Figure 3 (original)View Large Image Figure ViewerDownload Hi-res image Download (PPT) Th1-like Plasmodium-Specific Memory CD4+ T Cells Support Humoral ImmunityZander et al.Cell ReportsNovember 14, 2017In BriefTh1 CD4 T cells are widely described as terminally differentiated with a relatively reduced capacity to form memory or support humoral immunity. Using experimental malaria models, Zander et al. show that potent proliferative and B cell helper activity unexpectedly resides within the Plasmodium-specific Th1-like memory CD4 T cell compartment.
