Abstract: The number of higher education educational institutions that use virtual platforms as an educational resource is increasing by leaps and bounds. Our research is contextualized in the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre where the PAE-IPP platform has been included as a multidisciplinary tool for the improvement of student learning. With our research, we intend to observe the assessments of students and teachers on this platform through a qualitative study based on the analysis of content and the Theory of Nuclear Concepts, by creating a table of categories and a semi-structured interview. Among the conclusions obtained, it is worth highlighting that students show a positive attitude towards ICT and the PAE-IPP platform, but they lack a base and a bad profile in mathematics. The main benefits of the platform are access to the contents, the realization of exercise cards and the improvement in the study of mathematics. The main shortcomings are the scarcity of resources and the need for improvements such as the inclusion of interactive applications. Teachers believe that the interface is adequate and there is a lack of knowledge in mathematics.
