Caregiver-mediated interventions to support self-regulation among infants and young children (0-5 years): A realist review
Year: 2020
Type: preprint
Abstract: The aim of this realist review is to develop a programme theory of "what works" for caregiver-mediated interventions to support self-regulation in infants and young children (0-5 years). We will use a realist approach to synthesise data on the relationships between context, proposed mechanisms, and outcomes for experimental studies of caregiver-mediated interventions to support self-regulation in infants and young children. Data extracted from peer-reviewed literature will be integrated with insights from stakeholders, theoretical papers, and grey literature to develop and refine the programme theory.
