Year: 2021
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: The formation of foreign language speech competence of students is a complex process. To ensure the effectiveness of this process it is important to take into account not only the stage of teaching a foreign language and the nature of the language material, but also the psychological and physiological characteristics of students who are seriously affected by modern information technologies. This article describes the method of developing speech competence in English lessons in a secondary school using authentic cartoons. The methodology is based on the stable and widespread in Western and Russian psychology ideas about the psychological and pedagogical features of generations Z and Alpha, characterized by the development of clip thinking and the peculiarities of perception and processing of information.
