Abstract: This document introduces the research and practice of the power distribution area automation system based on the edge computing framework. First, it discusses the challenges in the operation and management of power distribution areas. Then, it explains the overall framework, that is, the cloud-edge-device architecture based on the edge computing framework. It also elaborates key technologies involved in the system, such as cloud master station, edge computing node, end node, and cloud-edge synergy protocol stack and model. Finally, the document unveils the engineering practice result and technical development direction of the power distribution area automation system.
