Cutting Practices for the Carolinas -- Report of Cutting Practices Committee, Appalachian Section, Society of American Foresters
Year: 1945
Type: article
Abstract: In February, 1942, the members of the Appalachian Section, Society of American Foresters, authorized the appointment of a committee to "crystallize present consensus of desirable silvicultural practices in the Carolinas." While a chairman for this committee was appointed, no working group was formed because of wartime demands on the section members. In December, 1943, a complete committee was appointed, the members of which represent the major forestry agencies in North and South Carolina. This is the final report of the committee.
