Abstract: يتناول هذا البحث وظيفة کان وأخواتها في الجملة الاسمية، فعندما تدخل کان وأخواتها على الجملة الاسمة فإنها تحدث تغيرا فيها، وتبين من خلال البحث أن کان وأخواتها عندما تدخل على الجملة الاسمية فإنها تقوم بوظيفتين في هذه الجملة، الوظيفة الأولى أنها تضفي دلالة زمنية وناحيّة على هذه الجملة، حيث تضيف هذه الأفعال الزمن إلى الجملة الاسمية، کما تضيف إليها معاني الناحية، والوظيفة الثانية لهذه الأفعال أنها تغير الوظيفة النحوية لکل من المبتدأ والخبر، کما تغير الحالة النحوية للخبر من الرفع إلى النصب، ومن ثم يتبين أهمية هذه الأفعال، والدلالات المختلفة التي تضفيها على الجملة الاسمية. Abstract: This research discus the job of the defective verbs (kana and her sisters) in the noun sentence. When they are added to the noun sentence, they make changes. This research clarifies that (kana and her sisters ) have two jobs in the noun sentence. The first is to add semantic tense and aspect . These verbs add tense and aspect indication to the noun sentence. Secondly they change the grammatical job for both of subject and predicate, besides they change the grammatical case for the predicate . Consequently that signifies the importance of these verbs and clarifies that, they add avariant semantic in the noun sentence.
