Abstract: With respect to data editing and manipulation, there are a number of UNIX utility programs that can be viewed as filters to be interposed between MAPGEN programs and the original data.The filters act as data reorganizers that capture the original data, reformat them, and pipeline the newly reformatted data directly into the selected program.
