Pulsed Field Skin Effect Calculations for Cylindrical Conductors

Year: 1966
Type: report
Abstract: This report describes calculations of pulsed magnetic field pene tration into cylindrical conductors.A computer code has been developed which calculates magnetic field penetration, surface electric field, and resistive damping in a capacitively driven RLC circuit including effects of a time varying skin depth.A set of dimensionless curves is given which allows one to estimate these factors.Generalizations of the method are discussed and an exanple is given.
