Abstract: Approximately 37 million adults live with chronic kidney disease in the United States, and adults older than 65 years account for the fastest growing subpopulation within this group.1 For this reason, both clinicians and the health systems in which they operate must be equipped to assess and address the unique needs of a rapidly aging population with kidney disease.
