Abstract: Macromol. Rapid Commun. 2021, 42, 2000652 https://doi.org/10.1002/marc.202000652 After initial online publication, a mistake in the purification of some of the compounds in this article were noticed by the authors. During the purification of some quaternary ammonium carboxylates reported, small quantities of lithium acetate were introduced as a result of ethyl acetate hydrolysis. This led to the introduction of variable quantities of acetate groups into the final dendrimer hybrids, instead of complete incorporation of the quaternary ammonium groups. The issue was resolved by changing the procedural order of the workup. In the updated protocol, the carboxylate salts are dissolved and filtered twice in dichloromethane before trituration in ethyl acetate. The complete introduction of quaternary ammoniums into the most polar dendrons led to changes in solubility, and a revised procedure using a dichloromethane/dimethylformamide solvent mixture was used to couple the dendrons to the polydimethylsiloxane midblock. Changes to the manuscript text are listed below, and updated procedures, yields, spectra, and chromatograms for compounds that contained an acetate impurity are provided in the updated Supporting Information of the article. The corrected Figures 2, 5, and 6 are shown below to reflect the changes in yield ranges, reaction conditions used, and updated spectra.
