Abstract: It gives us immense pride to know that we are all united in our goal to address the dermatologic needs of underserved communities.We are pleased that many societies have responded positively and we hope that those who have not yet responded will consider organizing a volunteer activity as part of World Skin Health Day (WSHD)Since the program is just getting underway, we anticipate that the dates of these activities will vary from country to country, at least for the fi rst two to three years.Thereafter, a coordinated eff ort will be made to choose a specifi c month or week for volunteer eff orts.We are asking societies to share their experiences via short reports and photographs.The goal is to dedicate one of the upcoming ILDS Newsletters to these activities.In addition, the Newsletter will serve as a source of ideas for societies that are contemplating future programs.If you have already conducted your volunteer projects, please send us a summary (see above).If the activity is planned for the future, please send us the project name and proposed date.We believe that the WSHD should be a global commitment, providing compassion combined with medical care.Again, accept our sincere gratitude.
