Glyme-based electrolytes: suitable solutions for next-generation lithium batteries

Abstract: Glymes are possible electrolyte solvents for high-energy lithium battery. Relevant results gathered over twenty years on these electrolytes are reviewed, and approaches to achieve new cells using insertion or conversion cathodes are discussed.
