La Fraseología En El Alpi: El Caso De Andar a Gatas Y Sus Variantes
Year: 2021
Type: article
Abstract: The main goal of this research is to show the variants of the locution andar a gatas ‘to crawl’ that are registered in the Atlas Lingüístico de la Península Ibérica (ALPI) and propose an analysis of its formal structure and geographical distribution. We also intend to carry out a comparison with the results obtained from other linguistic atlases, such as ALeCMan, ADiM, and other corpuses that show the language of later times (COSER, CREA, and CORPES XXI), in order to analyze the diachronic and diatopic evolution of these variants in current Spanish. In that line, this research deals with the survival, disappearance or extension of some of these phraseological units to other geographical areas. To that end, dialect studies and dictionaries are also used to verify the validity of those expressions.
