Abstract: A case of a 56-year-old man with severe COVID-19 infection who later developed septic shock because of disseminated cryptococcemia. This is the first published case of culture proven non-human immunodeficiency virus nontransplant COVID-associated Cryptococcus neoformans meningitis. Profound immunological impact of COVID-19 has been observed with associated increased risk of developing opportunistic infections.
