Abstract: of the Journal of Contemporary Maqasid Studies (JCMS) that aims at reviving and developing the maqasidi thought and supporting contemporary innovative and applied maqasid studies and research in order to arrive at new epistemological and methodological frameworks.The maqasid heritage throughout the Islamic history was extensively accumulated, studied and investigated, yet it remained captive to simplistic approaches that focused on the maqasid only as an instrument and mechanism.This had emptied the maqasid from its epistemological and methodological dimensions with the exception of some research attempts based on the constructive and critical approaches of the maqasid methodology.Therefore, we aspire at the Journal of Contemporary Maqasid Studies to contribute extensively to the promotion of maqasid methodology and the development of new maqasid-based research in harmony with the following fundamentals:
