Abstract: Please note that the first two sentences of the paragraph on the bottom of page 36, leading into page 37, should read, "The ceramics were immersed into simulated physiologic solution (SPS) containing ions to represent the ionic concentrations of plasma; 2.5 mM Ca2+, 1 mM HzP04-, 152 mM Na+, 136 mM C1-, 5 mM K', 1.5 mM M$+, 27 mM HC03-, and 0.5 mM SO4-. The chemicals used to make the simulated physiologic solution were: 2.5 mM CaClZ, 1.0 mM KHzP04, 125 mM NaCI, 4 mM KCI, 1 mM MgC12 * 6 HzO, 27 mM NaHC03, and 0.5 mM MgS04 -7 HzO."
