Abstract: This protocol is used for surgically implanting gastrointestinal planar electrodes and vagus nerve cuff electrodes for chronic electrophysiological recording and stimulaiton. Electrode wiring is tunneled subcutaneously to a connector embedded in a headcap affixed to the cranium.
