Reversible Electrochemical Mirror Devices using Room Temperature Ionic Liquid Electrolyte
Year: 2018
Type: preprint
Abstract: Room temperature ionic liquid electrolytes are being investigated for reversible electrodeposition reactions on conductive, transparent electrodes. The current work discusses development of a reversible silver electroplating process using a 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide based electrolyte and electrodes comprised of indium tin oxide and other conductive layers atop of glass substrates. Issues associated with cycle lifetime and scaling of the technology are also discussed.
