Abstract: A pyracantha hedge was treated on June 27 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Application equipment consisted of a John Bean 55 sprayer, series L-155 and a 785 John Bean Spraymaster deluxe gun which delivered 1.76 gal/min of finish spray at 300 psi. Plants were sprayed until runoff. Treatments were randomized and replicated two times. Each replicate consisted of a 5 ft section, 3 to 5 ft high. Temperature at time of application was 95°F and the wind velocity was 0 to 5 mph. Pretreatment and postreatment counts were determined by examining the leaves on 6 inches of terminal branch growth at six locations in each replicate.
