Abstract: The test was conducted at the OSU Horticulture Research Farm outside of Stillwater, OK. Field grown loblolly pines 3 to 4 ft tall, were utilized. Trees were treated to runoff on 13 June with a Hardi RY-15 backpack sprayer at 30 psi. Temperature at the time of treatment was 70°F, and the wind was 0-3 mph. Each treatment was randomized and replicated 4 times. Trees were evaluated for larval infestation on 5 Jul, 15 Jul, 15 Aug and 15 Sep. Evaluations were made by removing all damaged tips and checking for live larvae.
