Abstract: The TEM image in Figure 4 showing aggregated gold nanoparticles after the addition of target DNA into the probe DNA was not the data recorded in the study but instead an image reported by Sato et al. (see Reference 1m) which was used for comparative purposes. The correct image of the sample from the study is shown below (Figure 4). The author apologizes for this oversight and emphasizes that the error does not affect the discussion of the results in the Communication. TEM image of aggregated gold nanoparticles after the addition of target DNA into the probe DNA.
