Analysis of Cyclosporine-a (CSA) Levels Supports New Dosing Guidelines in Adult Double Unit Cord Blood Transplant (dCBT) Recipients to Optimize Immunosuppression Early Post-Transplant
Year: 2016
Type: article
Abstract: A therapeutic CSA level early post-dCBT is critical to mitigate the risk of acute graft-vs-host disease & reduce drug toxicity. However, variable inter-patient (pt) metabolism can affect the ability to achieve & maintain therapeutic levels. Moreover, as dCBT recipients frequently have had extensive prior therapy & may have prolonged neutropenia, mold-active azole prophylaxis is our standard of care. The consequent drug interactions, however, can further complicate CSA dosing.
