Abstract: The teleology of the study is associated with the emergence of new theoretical perspectives in the field of dialogue between science and religion. There was a rethinking of the theory of secularity and the formation of a post-secular concept in late 20th-century science.Religion, after a long stay on the cultural periphery, became relevant again in the global discursive field. The importance of the dialogue between religion and science is to maintain a balance between the values of the religious and secular segments of the axiosphere of culture, as well as their synchronization. The current problem is the involvement of the part of a science called «technoscience» in the communication.Everything literally depends on it.The ethical discourse of technoscience has not yet been formed, which is of concern to members of the intellectual community of Western Europe.Post-secularism as a new form of interaction between science and socio-humanitarian knowledge gives hope for revealing hidden problems and resolving outdated contradictions. The article conceptualizes the interdisciplinary dynamics of the correlation of secular and post-secular in the modern axiosphere of Western European culture by comparing symbolic images of science and religion: the heroes of Mary Shelley's novel «Frankenstein, or Modern Prometheus» -Victor Frankenstein and Demon, and the Gospel -Jesus Christ and Lazarus. The study uses general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, modeling, comparison, abstraction, and special methods of axiology, sociology, ethics, religious studies. The author concludes that the detachment of science from moral and religious discourse casts doubt on its viability, that the main purpose of communication between science and religion is the exchange of experience, that the results of dialogue between science and religion can help solve many problems today.
