Abstract: In this article, in the section entitled ‘Presentation of data and statistical analysis%rsquo;, the formula for calculating the percent promotion or suppression of mast cell growth and development by IL-4 was incorrectly given. The correct formula is: [(number of mast cells in culture with IL-4 / number of mast cells in culture without IL-4) –1] × 100
