Abstract: The authors conducted a review of the literature to investigate how the current and future generation of college-age students learn. The authors examined how technology and learning environments effect the students’ ability to learn. The rapid development and adoption of mobile communication technology has altered the way students receive and interpret information. The change in the way students learn is leading to a need for change in the way teachers should deliver curriculum to students. Using multiple inclusions of pedagogical approaches (MIOPA) the authors have been able to increase students’ engagement and learning.
