Abstract: Page 10794, legend to Fig. 4: The legend should read: Fig. 4. Lack of effect of FADD dominant negative mutant on PD98059-activated p38. HeLa cells were transfected with a Flag-tagged version of wild type p38 (10 μg) along with an empty plasmid or an expression vector for a dominant negative FADD mutant (10 μg). Sixteen h post-transfection, cells were shifted to serum-free medium, after which they were incubated with 50 μm PD98059 for 6 h. Afterward, Flag-tagged p38 was immunoprecipitated, and its activity was determined by using recombinant GST-Elk-1 as the substrate.
