Reduced Intensity Conditioning with Pentostatin and Low-Dose TBI in Patients with Relapsed Hematologic Malignancies

Year: 2018
Type: article
Study design: Clinical Trial
Abstract: Reduced intensity conditioning regimens have resulted in successful engraftment of allogeneic stem cells with low regimen-related toxicities. We previously demonstrated in a Phase II study that a regimen of extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP), pentostatin (4 mg/m2 CIVI days −5 and −4) and 600 cGy of total body irradiation (TBI) in 3 fractions was associated with stable engraftment, NRM of 11% and a low incidence of acute and chronic GVHD. We now report long-term results from 98 pts with lymphoid malignancies treated with pentostatin and TBI 600 cGy (days −3 and −2) followed by allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) infusion.
