Abstract: Eastern tent caterpillar control was evaluated on wildplum. Wild plums 3 to 6 feet high located along a roadside outside of Stillwater, Oklahoma were utilized in randomized and replicated (3X) experiments. All treatments were applied to the foliage and webbing with a two gallon B & G stainless steel sprayer at 30 psi. Plants were separated by a sufficient distance to avoid spray drift. Temperature and wind velocity at the time of treatment were 69°F/ 5-8 mph and 81°F, 5-10 mph respectively for Test 1 (May 5) and 2 (May 6). The plants were infested with 50 to 300 larvae per web. Percent mortality was determined by counting live and dead larvae in all webs on each plant.
