Abstract: We are grateful to Dr. Richard F. Raubertas of the University of Rochester for bringing to our attention the following errors in our recently published article, 'Confidence intervals for differences in correlated binary proportions', Statistics in Medicine, 16, 2127-2136 (1997).The hypotheses and corresponding formulae should not be stated in terms of magnitude only but should include the direction of the difference.To remedy the situation, the absolute value bars should be replaced with parentheses throughout the paper.Also, the first minus sign in the last equation on p. 2129 should be a plus.
