[O3–03–03]: TAU PATHOLOGY AND GRAY MATTER ATROPHY CONTRIBUTE TO COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT IN ALZHEIMER's DISEASE
Year: 2017
Type: article
Abstract: and executive function and cluster 4 (N¼14), who had impairment across all 4 domains, manifested neurodegeneration (MRI>FDG) throughout the brain. All clusters showed global amyloid burden (Figure 3).Conclusions: We identified several cognitive clusters among amnestic EOAD ADNI subjects. In addition to the pure amnestic and globally impaired variants, we also found a visuospatial and a language/executive variant suggesting phenotypic heterogeneity in this rare form of AD.The pattern of atrophy and hypometabolism in each cluster was in agreement with the observed cognitive phenotype.
